If you do not ask the right questions, you do not get the right answers.
Our Approach: Problem Analysis
Suppose you have a fixed budget for fuel, and the price of the fuel you use rises
by 50% in a period of a two months (e.g., spring 2008). For most people, the
question they were facing was "Where will I find the money to pay the higher price?"
Is that really the problem you are facing? Or is it more fundamental? Perhaps you
should be wondering how you can protect yourself from such price volatility, or the
inevitable rising price of fuel over the longer term, rather than facing this same
crisis again in the near future.
Treating symptoms does not cure the condition.
